Bottled Up and Glazed Over

Bottled Up and Glazed Over

Hey there!

Thought I'd add another greeting
to my repertoire haha!

Did you all get loads of Valentine
Cards yesterday?  Roses?  Chocs?

Oh well, let us see what fun
Karen Gist has in store for us...

I have used an empty Whisky bottle for my project.

First cover the bottle with tissue paper using Gel Medium.

Don't worry about wrinkles as its all part of the look.

Cut rough squares big enough to stamp flowers onto
and some strips for the hair and paint using a mix of Fresco Paints.

I used Spanish Mulberry, Lavender, Smoked Paprika and Beach Hut.

To make the tissue paper opaque when glued onto the bottle
I painted the reverses in Chalk.

Paint the neck of the bottle in Sand and the rest in Blue Oyster.

Stamp the flowers from PaperArtsy
Eclectica ELB26 and EKC03 and cut out.

Attach to the bottle as shown using Matte Medium.

Add a litte sparkle using PaperArtsy Frosting Glaze.

Paint some more tissue in Smoked Paprika as before
and stamp the large flower head from Eclectica ELB16.

Cut out and snip away some of the petals as shown
and cover with Frosted Glaze.

I hand drew the face and painted it using the same colours as before
but you could always use a stamped image or a magazine face instead.

Glue the pteal strips to the bottle as shown.

Glue the face near the top of the bottle.

To make the hair cover the painted strips with Glaze and twist as it dries.

Glue these inside the top of the bottle.

Add some more petals to give a 'halo' sort of effect.

Add some beads as shown.

Supplies:

Love it Karen!  Thank you
for such a fun project.

Think I'll be smiling all day now

'Til tomorrow

Mickie xx
